BLINMAN HERITAGE MINE UNDERGROUND EXPERIENCE
Last year, we had a very unique Underground Experience at the Blinman Heritage Mine. The township of Blinman is in the Flinders Ranges north of South Australia about 485 km north of Adelaide with a permanent population of just 18. Blinman Mine is named after Robert Blinman a shepherd who discovered copper deposits in the area in 1859. Today, it has been well-preserved into a tourist attraction set up by local volunteers complete with innovative sound and light system. They offer the Blinman Underground Experience, a unique and comprehensive guided tour that takes you back in time to the lives of the Cornish Miners and their families.
